Publications
The Gist
The Gist is Leeds University Union’s A5 monthly publication full of Union news, information and 'what's on' events listings. This slick publication is the Student Union’s source of entertainment and events information.
Leeds Student Newspaper
The Leeds Student is the only official newspaper produced by, and for, the students at the University of Leeds.
5,000 copies are distributed every Friday of term time, free of charge, for the students to pick up and is a fantastic way to advertise to a potential market of more than 30,000 students.
On-Site Promotions
Indoor
Hiring our dedicated space for indoor promotions is the perfect way to come onto campus and really interact with the studetns. This type of face-to-face promotion is ideal for sampling, sign-up services, data collection and informal chats with students.
Outdoor
In addition to our dedicated indoor promotional space, it is also possible for you to come along and utilize the space we have outside.
Posters
Our six lockable, perspex poster sites are larger than most so really do have a great visual impact; they are 120cm x 165cm and are available in either landscape or portrait. This is the official and only way to get your posters up in the Union.
Flyer Packs
Leeds University Union has teamed up with Don’t Panic. The Don’t Panic Pack is a national flyer pack and once a month a Don’t Panic Leeds University Union flyer pack is distributed across campus. You have the opportunity to promote your product, service, brand or event to the students at Leeds using a dynamic and recognizable tool.
Freshers' Fair
There is no better time in the academic calendar then Freshers Week to advertise to students and it’s as much for the returning students as it is for the new ones It’s so popular here at Leeds that we have to have two weeks, not one, full of activities.

Societies and Sports Teams
With over 300 sports teams and societies here at Leeds University Union we are not short of a group of people or choice of group for your company to get involved with.
Summer Ball
The Summer Ball is a unique event organised by Leeds University Union for all students from the University of Leeds, Leeds Metropolitan University, Leeds Trinity University College, and Leeds College of Art and Design. It is essentially a formal black tie summer ball on a modern, hi-tech festival site, hosted on the sumptuous grounds of Lotherton Hall and is one of a kind in the UK.
Varsity
The University of Leeds and Leeds Metropolitan University battle it out over one day of heated rivalry covering 21 sports, with the finale at Headingley Stadium where the men's 1st rugby union teams represent their universities in front a crowd of 5,000. A great chance to target both universities in one go!
Celebrate Week
Celebrate Week is a weeklong celebration of our student groups and societies marking their success and acknowledging the tremendous effort and dedication made by individuals. The week attracts the motivated and savvy students at the University of Leeds many of who are students are in their final year.
Colours Dinner
A chance to recognise, award and celebrate the University Unions sports' teams and individuals that have contributed to sport throughout the academic year over a formal awards dinner.
Christie Championship
One of the oldest inter-University competitions sees the University of Leeds, University of Manchester and University of Liverpool take place in a tri-tournament involving nearly 1,000 competitors over three weeks. This is again a fantastic way to reach out to students across the whole of North England.
Sports Ball
A chance in the year to bring all of Leeds University Union's sports teams together for a formal dinner dance and to get a good relationship going between the different teams. A great big reward for all of their hard work over the year!
