Leadership
LUU recognises the valuable role of leaders. We are fully committed to the development of leaders and potential leaders in LUU. In June 2008 LUU achieved the Investors in People Leadership & Management model which recognises that.
We have defined a profile for a model manager in LUU which you can download (doc).
Managers are offered the opportunity to be assessed using 360 degree feedback against the profile. If you are interested in finding out more about this download a sample 360 report (pdf) from the profile assessment.
Many managers find this feedback useful in determining their own personal development plan and can then work with their own manager to agree how they will address any areas which need improvement.
In order to raise general management skills in LUU we offer a series of modules using a combination of online learning and self study methods. These are currently available on the following topics.
- Managing Performance
- Managing Absence
- Discipline & Grievances
- Recruitment & Selection
